Senor Don Gato
This is a song I learned in music class and I thought it was cute. I looked it up and found this. Here are the lyrics to the song.
O Senor Don Gato was a cat.
On a high red roof Don Gato sat.
He was there to read a letter,
(meow, meow, meow)
where the reading light was better,
(meow, meow, meow)
'Twas a love-note for Don Gato!
"I adore you," wrote the ladycat,
who was fluffy white, and nice and fat.
There was not a sweeter kitty,
(meow, meow, meow)
in the country or the city
(meow, meow, meow)
and she said she'd wed Don Gato!
O Senor Don Gato jumped with glee!
He fell off the roof and broke his knee,
broke his ribs and all his whiskers,
(meow, meow, meow)
and his little solar plexus
(meow, meow, meow)
"Ay Caramba!!" cried Don Gato.
All the doctors they came on the run,
just to see if something could be done.
And they held a consultation,
(meow, meow, meow)
about how to save their patient,
(meow, meow, meow)
how to save Senor Don Gato.
But in spite of everything they tried,
poor Senor Don Gato up and died.
No, it wasn't very merry,
(meow, meow, meow)
going to the cemetary,
(meow, meow, meow)
for the ending of Don Gato.
But as the the funeral passed the market square,
such a smell of fish was in the air,
though the burial was plated,
(meow, meow, meow)
he became reanimated,
(meow, meow, meow)
he came back to life, Don Gato!

My Sacramentmeeting Talk
My Talk
Good afternoon brothers and sisters today I am going to give a talk on courage. My scripture hero is a good example of someone who had courage. My scripture hero is Nephi and he was a very courageous person. Nephi was a prophet and obeyed his parents and Heavenly Father. There were plenty of times Nephi was courageous such as the time when Lehi told his family that they were to leave Jerusalem or when Nephi had to go back to Jerusalem twice. One other time he was beaten up by his brothers but he still was courageous enough to stand up for he and his brother Sam. My favorite time was when he had to go and build a ship. Some of these things are not times that we will have to be courageous for but there are times when we have to stick up for our beliefs.
Some of the experiences I have had are when I have to tell my friends not to say the lord’s name in vain. But if we don’t have the courage to say Stop That! Then we won’t be able to be courageous. Other times people may have a hard time trying to say no to the latest trends in clothing. But some of those latest trends may be things that are and are not modest. We will have to learn to avoid this kind of thing. But even the little things like this can lead you to having bad habits. Another time you have to be courageous is when you have to tell the truth. Telling the truth can sometimes be hard. Most of us probably have had lots of experiences with times that were hard to tell the truth. We can learn from these things that if we don’t have courage the church wouldn’t have grown or it will lead to having bad habits or making wrong choices.
One of my favorite songs talks about how Nephi was courageous, in fact the second word in the song title is courage. I am pretty sure that you are all familiar with the song Nephi’s courage. The chorus says “I will go, I will do the things the lord commands I know the lord provides a way he wants me to obey I will go, I will do the things the lord command I know the lord provides a way he wants me to obey.” This song go’s right along with my favorite scripture. This is in 1st Nephi chpt.3 verse7 it reads...
“For it came to pass that I Nephi said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the lord hath commanded, for I know that the lord giveth no commandment unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he hath commandeth them.”
I know that it is important that we have courage and I am so grateful for the church and I am grateful for being able to live with my family forever. Ths is one of my favorite topics to speak about because I know that the lord gives us no commandment that he knows isn’t possible for us to accomplish. I love my family and I am so grateful them and all that they do for me. Every day I try to be courageous, and do what is right.
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
